Serendipity

I like when I stumble upon things that turns out to be much more interesting than I expected. Serendipity that is, with a fancy word. To find the unexpected. Lately I found the film You, Me and Everyone We Know and the album Klub Kama Aina by Kama Aina. Didn't expect a whole lot, but they both turned out to be little gems.

You, Me and Everyone We Know is directed by Miranda July and has a nice warm feeling to it. A great indie flick. She has a cool website.

Klub Kama Aina by the japanese artist Kama Aina, contains relaxing and cinematic melodies. It's released by Efterklang's rumraket label. If you like Efterklang you will definately find pleasure in this as well.

The Sadness

Arcade Fire cancelled the rest of the european tour. Win can't sing because of a sinus infection. I'm so disappointed, been looking forward to my first Arcade Fire concert for so long. Hope they will come back and tour Europe in the autumn.

Streetart

I have had an increasing interest in streetart the last couple of years. I have always been an appreciator of art, and I realised that there's a lot of great streetart out there, and here in Copenhagen. I like the democratic side of it. Streetart is for everyone, you don't have to pay money to go to an artmuseum, because there might be an amazing piece round the corner.

Wooster Collective is a site dedicated to streetart and the like. Very inspirational. Lots of pictures of amazing art from around the world.
