Sunshine

If you like a good sci-fi flick, go see Sunshine by Danny Boyle. If you don't like sci-fi, go see it anyway. It's an interesting story and Cillian Murphy is brilliant in the starring role.

The Blow concert

Went to The Blow show at LAB a while ago. Unfortunately Jona was doing some other business in the states with his other band Y.A.C.H.T. But it was great fun anyway. I liked all the funny things Khaela did with her hands while singing. She was cool, and she spoke danish all through the concert. She was very good, must have been living in Denmark in some part of her life.

It was the first time I attended a concert at LAB, but definately not the last. It's a small venue in a backyard on Vesterbro. A super nice place with friendly people. I think I will be there again at The Books concert on May the 11th.

New book coming out by Miranda July. Don't know if she's a good writer, but I know that I like the latest movie she directed and I like the website she created to promote the book.

I'm the proud owner of a new laptop computer. Fantastic, since my last computer was almost an antique. Everything is so easy and fast. Nice.

Stopped by Aarhus last week because of some work related things, but had the time afterwards to stroll a little bit around in the city. Went to Aros artmuseum and saw their current exhibition by Paul McCarthy. Very freaky and scary, but there were some funny things also, like the Jacko and Bubbles sculpture.
The best thing about Aros is the contemporary collection with som truly great artpieces. I took some pictures.

Did some good bargains to. Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance on dvd, and Oh, Inverted World by The Shins on cd.

Beautiful dreamy sounds with surprises by Slaraffenland on Pitchfork. Listen here. They just played at SXSW. Their second album is out 14th May. According to their website they are playing at Huset, Copenhagen 26th May. Worth checking out.
