Dalí

Saw an interesting program about Salvador Dalí a couple of days ago. It gave me a new perspective on his paintings. Obviously he was very influenced by Freud and his psychoanalysis, but he was also very passionate about science.
More about Dalí and his works...

Massive Attack

Friday's Massive Attack show was great. They played a nice mix of old and new songs. To me, the new material has never reached the same standards as their two first albums "Blue Lines" and "Protection". Therefore I was thrilled, when they delivered some fantastic versions of some of the early material.
Before Massive Attack we saw Under Byen (they are a great live band), Spleen United and The Cardigans.

Bad luck

Yesterday my sister and I decided to take the train to Malmö, Sweden, to see the Yeah Yeah Yeahs show. When we arrived at the location, we found the place completely empty. It turned out, that we had the wrong address. After an hour or so we finally found the right place, but at that time the show was almost finished. Luckily we heard the last 4 songs, including one of my favourites "Y control". When we were heading back home, I found out that I had lost my ticket for the train. Bad luck.

Here´s some pictures from the opera show at sunday. This old man chose, as the only one, to stand up during the entire show. Luckily he decided to stand at the right of the scene after the break.

Went to the park to listen to opera.
Every year the Royal Danish Opera perform an opera show, with arias and excerpts from the operas in the season to come. It's in a park in Copenhagen called Fælledparken. And it's free! It's a great tradition.
Took some fotos. I will add them later.

Haruki Murakami´s site is so cool. Just like his books.

"I'm not Scared" is a brilliant italian movie by Oscar-winner Gabriele Salvatores. It´s about a boy who discovers a boy, at the bottom of a hole. I wont reveal more...only say that it´s very mysterious. I read the book by Niccoló Ammaniti a couple of years ago. I recommend it.

Recieved the new cd by TV on the Radio "Return to the Cookie Mountain" today.
I have been listening a lot to the "I was a lover" track on myspace, and I'm really looking forward to hear the rest of the songs.
Today I have been listening to the wonderfull voice of Nina Simone.

Wednesday it rained. Perfect day to watch dvd's. I ended up watching 3. "V for Vendetta", "Thumbsucker" og "Syriana". "Syriana" was a bit disappointing, "Thumbsucker" an ok independent movie about youthhood and identity. "V for Vendetta" was by far the best. Love the universe and the whole aesthetics of the movie.

A new supermarket which sells only pure ecological products have opened at Gl. Kongevej. Have already tested some of their bread and the walnutscones. Delicious!
