Sheep

I like the new Michael Kvium exhibition at Ordrupgaard.

I'm thinking about going to this exhibition at V1.

Watched the korean movie Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance. I'ts about a deaf-mute boy Ruy who tries to raise money, so he can buy his sister a new kidney and thereby save her life. But everything goes wrong and from there on vengeance is the main issue. The first half of the film is beautiful, mystifying and even funny, but the last part is pretty hard-boiled. Had to close my eyes a couple of times. It's the first part of a trilogy by Chan-wook Park, the second one is Oldboy, the third is Lady Vengeance. I'm very impressed by the whole visual composition of the movie, just like I am with his fellow korean director Kim Ki-duk's visual masterpieces.

Swedish

I'm a having a kind of a swedish music thing at the moment. I think some of my friends are getting a bit tired of me talking about all the good swedish bands, that I'm listening too. So here's the list once and for all.

Shout Out Louds (new album coming out later this month. You can see them, as well as The Concretes, live at Vega later on in may).
The Concretes (new album to be released soon. I'm listening a lot to their previous releases).
Love Is All (pure energy)
Loney, Dear (sweeeet pop music)
The Lovekevins (you can listen to the new album at last.fm)
El Perro Del Mar (so sad, so so good)

Bloc Party

Everybody wanted Kele.

The Bloc Party show last weekend was good. It was funny seeing them again. Saw them early in their career playing before Interpol on their 2004 tour. Back then, they seemed very humble. In front a smiling Kele who seemed happy to get such positive response. This time they played with much more confidence. It's clear that they have become stars now, but still with a positive and friendly attitude.

Naja Marie Aidt

Recently I went to a recital with the danish poet and author Naja Marie Aidt. She was very interesting to listen to and such a nice person too. Her new collection of short stories Bavian had a very powerfull impact on me, it's simply one of the best I have read in years. Highly recommended.
